TJ Aparecida, on TV Aparecida, aired, on August 28, a report about the presence of artificial intelligence at technology and innovation fairs. The crew filmed at Innovation Week, in São José dos Campos, and stopped at the Aptabit stand, where it interviewed Pedro Baesso, CTO and co-founder of the company. The report is in Portuguese.
The report does not name any of the companies it visits: it shows the solutions and listens to the people presenting them. The Aptabit CTO gives the first interview in the report, right after the opening.
From tool to strategy
"Last year we already approached artificial intelligence as a tool. What we bring this year is the strategy of artificial intelligence: how we use it for better decisions, better reports, how we do better business based on the answers it gives us. So we are moving forward on critical thinking with artificial intelligence."
That distinction separates an artificial intelligence pilot from a project that delivers results. Treated as a tool, AI becomes one more application open alongside the others, useful and detached. Treated as strategy, it starts feeding the decision: the report that supports the choice, the corporate data that answers the question, the process that changes because now something can read that body of information end to end.
That is why critical thinking shows up in his answer. An AI response only becomes a decision when someone can check where it came from. At Aptabit that check is an architectural characteristic: the platform runs on the customer's infrastructure, over the customer's own body of information, with controlled access and a record of every query.
The capacity that is already installed
Another passage of the interview points to where that capacity already sits: on the computer, on the laptop, on the phone. It is the same diagnosis that led to Aptabit Desktop, presented at this same Innovation Week. The current generation of corporate equipment already ships ready to run artificial intelligence locally, and that capacity is idle at most companies: the hardware has been bought, and the intelligence is still contracted outside.
The four launches the company brought to the event are in the official release.
Other coverage of the event
Innovation Week 2026 also produced the TV Câmara São José dos Campos report, with the Aptabit CEO, and the Jovem Pan report, with Pedro Baesso himself.
